The purpose of this web site is to share my pigeons with other “pigeon people”. In addition I have now added a video of the birds which should add to your enjoyment. If you have dial up and the video quality is poor you can order a DVD to view and share with your friends. Send $5 to my above address and I’ll mail you a copy. I have to sell birds to offset my feed cost. I have many breeds in many colors for sale. However I can’t promise you that I have everything you want so give me a call or e-mail for availability. I like most Pigeon keepers have been involved with this obsession for many years. In my case it exceeds 50 years. I have asked different keepers the same question. “Why do you keep pigeons?” The answer is always about the same “I don’t know it’s just something I’ve always done”. I guess some people are drawn to music and some of us lucky ones are drawn to birds. To quote James Turner for people like us “Pigeons are a way of Life”.
To quote Leon Stephens “You don’t have to be crazy to raise pigeons, but it helps”. I started my collection of “Color Pigeons” about 5 years ago and now allow me to make this statement. I’m in no way an expert on pigeons. I’ve read most everything on the subject and I have ask allot of questions. Fortunately through the hobby I’ve made allot of good phone friends and we all share information. If you have question I might not know the answer but I will know who to ask. At present I keep the following breeds: Starlings, Archangels, Saxon Double Crested Priest, Saxon Shields, Saxon Whitetails, Saxon Monks, Capuchines, Pheasant Pigeons, Danish Suabians, Old German Owls, Figuritas, Shakhsharli’s, Arabian Trumpeters, Performing Rollers, Ukrainian Sky Cutters, Iranian High Flyers and Frillbacks. I have 43 Breeding pens and 16 different lofts.
I hope you enjoy the web site and video, if I can ever be of assistance feel free to give me a call. If it wasn’t for the Internet and eggbid I would not have the birds I have today. . . I live in Kinston, N.C., which is in the eastern part of the state. I welcome visitors but you must do so by appointment.
Regards,
Danny Joe Humphrey
